A Life/Alive 05:00
A Life/Alive Balance it in, balance it out Like a scrutinous apothecary Don’t lose your weights, don’t lose your minds. Find the right dose, find the right pose, Somebody is gonna help you carry Don’t lose your faith in your fate I found my friends, I found my place It was right here all the time I did not have to dig to deep, But with bare hands and on my knees I found my trends, I found my taste I’m getting older and I start to feel alive for the first… Shuffling the cards, rolling the dice After all it’s just a thrilling game How are the odds, how good the gods? Breaking the ice, Not knowing right from wrong nor good from evil The efforts won’t be in vain. I found my friends, I found my place It was right here all the time I did not have to dig to deep, But with bare hands and on my knees I found my trends, I found my taste I’m almost 30 and I start to feel alive for the first time Balance it in, balance it out Break your chains and break the ice Keep your feet on track, even while skating around Chasing childhood dreams and teenage visions. Never lose your faith in your fate. - Pol Belardi, 2018

I'll Go 02:47
I'll Go My limbs, they seem made of lead when love shows it's ugly head. Truths are shifting, I can't tell no more. Between right, or wrong, I'm getting sore and dizzy. What more, what more can I do? Expectations, high like the skies. Can't get anything in return, so here's the deal: I go Into the dark I'll go Into the lights I'll go Into the unknown future I'll go But this time it's without you Into my fate I'll go Into my blessing, I'll go Into the void, I'll go But this time it's without you

Cold 05:35
Cold This house has once been a home to us But now every room just feels cold The walls still telling stories of Those days love would never get old Your voice, the sound of a dream I had But now I can hardly recall And time has brought so much space between These rooms can’t break down the walls inside of me Your lips move, I don’t understand The air is filled with the things unsaid The rain falls onto your face I wish I could offer you a phrase, So you don’t have to feel so sad This house has once been a home to us But now every room just feels cold This place once used to shelter us But now all our stories are told - Mara Minjoli, 2017

I Am 04:00
I Am It's getting out of control, My clock is ticking much faster than I can bear How did I get to this point, how do I tackle this unexpected events I'm letting go of my role the sounds are passing much faster than, I can hear In this repetitive life, it's getting harder to strive for anything but the gold but I walk this crooked road just like I am and I will shout out how I am I sip my tea the way I am and I don't care about your stare since I will not give a darn about your thoughts because I am all on my own now here I am and I feel good Since I am, I'll be, I'll have been my own guide

about

Pol Belardi is a musician with many faces. With the profound desire not to be limited neither to a style nor to a specific instrument, he feels the need to reinvent himself over and over again. Pol Belardi's Urban 5 represents his take on a groove-driven, exciting blend between jazz, soul, hip-hop and electronic music. Drawing as much inspiration from the jazz giants as from J Dilla, Stevie Wonder or Hiatus Kaiyote, Urban 5 are bound to make you move your hips or nod your head to a colorful set of fresh, thriving original compositions. Thrilling beats and bass lines seemingly coming right out of the big cities mingle with subtle harmonies, lyrical melodies and clever lyrics, topped up with the powerful, yet sensitive and honest voice of singer Mara Minjoli. Being initially a reduced version of Pol Belardi's Urban Voyage, a musical power plant gathering 11 musicians, Urban 5 succeeded in creating a language of their own and showcase yet another of Pol's many creative takes on modern music.
